Perhaps Powell see's Riley as a championship level player with potential of becoming better.
Well I’m fairly happy with Dwyer, yes we could do better, but not really in this country. I think the club knew it too getting him secured early.
On a personal note, there isn’t a single player at Wire won me as much money. I was drawing on him regularly as first, or last try scorer in the 2nd half. I don’t think I’ve shown a profit since he left.
He backs himself, I always like that and that’s why I put my money on him. There hasn’t been a player who would take it on, other than Clark, (who didn’t so much in the last 3 seasons, regularly hindered with carrying injuries) and Widdop since Dwyer left, although Haze definitely has it about him too.
