Listened to cas CEO talking about IMG and the ground last night..
It sounds like the planning application has been put back to January earliest…
However even if planning is granted, they won’t be able to knock the stands down until after the IMG grades have been done after the grand final..(October) because they will need to secure as many points as possible for the stadium ..with the plan B …it looks like they will literally put the padded seats in main stand add some more lighting on the existing floodlights etc etc to claim the points … then knock it all down.

Someone on TRL Forum mentioned that Wakefield MDC had reminded Cas that the £2m RL Resilience Fund cash was for community and grass root add-ons. Any one heard this anywhere else?

Makes sense, but what's to stop Cas using that then ring fencing £2m from the planning gain. Obviously, the final product will have to be value engineering to account for the deficit.

That £2m may be the only cash they have available for some time though?

Unless they get planning in January and use the axiom money..

Whichever way they get the money it sounded like they intended to spend the bare minimum on bodging it up as long as it ticked the boxs
