Im fortunate that i can afford to go to the away games it helps I go on my own, I love away games its 3/4 hours or so that I can completely forget about everything, i don’t even mind the M62 journeys but appreciate it can be expensive and time consuming if theres more than yourself to think about.

There’s nothing better than a win away from home especially when it’s a bit of a shock, Wigan away last year in the playoffs was amazingly

Exactly the reason I go too. A few hours on the club coach, with some decent human beings where I can just relax, talk about RL with likeminded individuals and have a few tinnies. No pressure, brain off and enjoy.

Same here. To me, It is a break away from the stresses of work and home, and a couple of hours of mixing with similar minded people. The result doesn't take much of that away.

I always drive to away games, sometimes with company, sometimes without. I sometimes feel that I miss out on the social aspect of not travelling on organised coaches, but I've not been on one for about 20 years now.

Great to hear these stories. Being a fan is more than if a team is winning, or even playing well.

Every game is an away game for me, home games mean a 5 - 6 hour round trip of travellling time, getting home around midnight after a thursday nights loss to Wakie is part and parcel of being a 'fan' I suppose, won't make all 13 home games next season so can't justify a season ticket, will just go for the 5 game flexi this coming year and cherry pick which games I attend.

Not a complete idiot, bits of me are missing

My only realistic means of attending any games is if there's a home game coinciding with a trip to see family in school holidays, or potentially making an effort if we make a final.

I was pretty excited by the prospect of all SL games being televised - so this isn't happening? This year I missed loads of Leeds matches at the start of the season because of delays getting Wi-Fi set up after I moved house (I spent a fortune on 'mobile Wi-Fi' to stream a couple of games, never again I hope), and then we seemed to be on much less (admittedly this was a blessing in some cases).

After having a season ticket from 1990-2006 I really miss the atmosphere of live games, although I suspect it isn't what it once was in the days of our close rivalries with Wigan, Saints and the Bulls. The advantage of only watching on TV is that you get a more objective view of the game - how the team is performing, individual contributions, and of course the officiating. I don't bother much with non-Leeds games anymore; it's not through lack of interest as much as time. Time is more a factor than money but if something like a NOW TV subscription allowed you to watch all SL games I would consider this good value.

No channel 4 games then, so we have sold exclusive rights to one provider for less money. Who negotiated the deal Teresa May

Not necessarily. They have stated -

"RL Commercial retain the ability to attract new viewers with the continuation of free-to-air broadcast opportunities, as well as through a dedicated Super League-owned streaming platform - with further details to be confirmed through the autumn."

It is a bit vague, though. And I have the feeling that Sky are pulling the pants of the RFL down with this deal.

Having every game filmed to broadcast standard with a VR at every game is s massive step forward for SL.

As an exile, having more games on Sky is a good thing, but if the deal is less money, and now a casual fan can watch all games on sky, it's potentially a big drop in income on two fronts for clubs
