Will someone tell me what actual marketing do the RFL do for these events? Of course R/L fans will or should know about the Grand final on Saturday but given that i dont see any marketing of the event at all. If you are not going to spend some money promoting the Grand final,C/C or magic weekend then you are never going to build on the current level of attendance. The RFL is just jobs for the boys but what have the IMG media gurus done for the sport apart from a load of statistics and just following Australia with no promotion or relegation. I would say jack Sh-t. I agree the sport is primarily Northern based but you cant just sit on your backsides like the RFL do and expect the sport to grow when you dont spend any money on advertising and marketing. When we have terrestrial tv coverage on channel 4 or the BBC unless you read the TV pages to see whats on then you dont even know the game is being televised. They should at least be running some TV ads on Channel 4 a week before the game. Employing a forward thinking medium sized marketing and advertising company by the RFL would have been a much better option than IMG who are just a big name but no more than a think tank
Not one northern player in London's promotion challenging team this weekend, brilliant work from them and proof that expansion can increase the player pool given time

Agree the marketing is very poor.
I remember for the 2013 world cup they emoloyed an agency to promote the semi final at Wembley and the result was a great crowd of 67k. I went and was sat amongst people with southern accents and they were wowed by what was one of the best games ive ever seen (Sonny Bill and Sam Burgess at each other all game, England losing in the dying seconds) obviously the agency will have taken a cut but im sure some new fans who went will have become hooked. Now we just email the same database and hope for the best

London need to say at one ground for a long time, the constant moves has damaged them. It'd be like Hull moving to Donny, Scarborugh, Grimsby etc every few years and expect the fans to keep travelling.

Agreed, seems better them being at Wimbledon rather trailfinders, it's a shame they left the stoop, great ground and I liked the Quins RL brand

Only 60k there last year when saints were there, I think whilst it stays at old Trafford, the days of grand finals selling out is over
