Over 50k sold - not 60 but still pretty good. Probably at a level that the RFL would be happy with as if most English clubs had got there instead of Catalans it would likely have sold out.

Still a few days to go though, still could easily sell another few thousand. If the rfl start giving tickets away to local community clubs and such like, cut price tickets for locals then could get to 60,000.

I thought it would be in the 50s, so think this is more believable than the rumour of 60k sold earlier this week. Hopefully more will get sold and the attendance can get closer to 60k.

They've already given away more than enough - a final ticket should cost money. Particularly as Iv just forked out £65!

I understand what your saying in regards to buying your ticket but if there's seats free then why not give them away, if, as a sport, we could get 100 new people to a few games across the league next season, they tell a few of their friends the season after and so on, 10 years down the line a few spare tickets could have made a massive difference.

It came via someone at the RFL so tbh I'm not surprised if it's wrong
Good to get the win but horrible atmosphere in the stands around us (block W207 towards the back). Several fights and people who’d obviously been on the nose bags pre-game. Not what we need - had a pregnant woman and kids in tears around me just as Marshy scores the only try. Left a sour taste in the mouth and hope those scum bags stay away in future.
Yes i went to the 2001 GF and it was the first and last time i went there where "fans" from other clubs who wanted to tease the Wigan fans throught the game i assume the same happend tonight

We took our 5 year old to his first game tonight. Along with his grandma who was at what’s likely to be her last. The win sadly soured by a couple of drunken Wigan fans behind us. I won’t go into detail but cup finals are crap for this. Far too many gobsh**es who’ve been on the ale, all day. Not convinced my lad will fancy that for a few years which is sad for us.
