Good signing, Salford look to have some financial problems. That’s probably the reason they are prepared to let Croft go. However I gather he is on a long term contract on decent money. That could be a stumbling block, looking on the bright side get Croft and we look to have the basis for a decent side.

We desperately need a proper prop to replace Tetevano otherwise we will get battered in the pack again. And then all the excuses will be coming out that the halves and threequarters can't do much behind a beaten pack. Sangare is simply not ready to be in the weekly 4 rotation. He should be 5th prop.
Burgess is exactly what we need. A pack leader. Leeds fan. All his brothers back home now. Final 2 - 3 years of his career in SL. Makes a lot of sense.
I do get the feeling given the recent positive vibes around recruitment, despite multiple outgoings, that we have two more big (marquee) signings to come....

Although we have shifted a lot of cap I'd guess Frawley and (should he arrive) croft, will command a significant increase from Austin and Sezer likewise PM would be on more than Nene I'd guess, and miller a fairly sizeable increase on Hooley though Goudemand would I'm guessing be well over 100k less than tetevano. Be interesting to see what capacity is left.
Hopefully we are using the three Marquee signings rule

My honest opinion is the Burgess is full of BS. Would be delighted to be proved wrong. Sutton is linked because it was reported that the Bulldogs were open to an early release a couple of months ago. Search "Sutton to Super League" and you'll find it. He's contracted till the end 2024, but then again so were Miller and Momirovski. I think Sutton is more likely.

Yeah I get the impression theres an enjoyment of the adulation and talk of 'ooh the Burgii might be coming home!'. Didn't George say that about Leeds too a few years ago?

Hope Im wrong, I can see us not getting an extra prop in before the start of the season.
Potentially. If so, I hope we push for a hooker. Wouldn't be surprised if we had a player wanting to leave mid season. Possibly Myler if the likes of Miller, Frawley and (please, please, please) Croft stay fit. We might chose to play the long game, but it's a risky proposition.

Yep. Everytime there's a test match in Leeds somebody points a microphone at a Burgess and they trot out the same spiel. Call me an old cynic, but I just don't buy it.
