Yeah, on the allocation looks like we're on course for 4500 and may need an extra allocation, Saints brought 4700 last year i believe??, we could match or exceed that which is a remarkable feat.

Anyone recommend any good food places near Wigan bus station, courtyard cafe any good? Will said places be rammed. Thanks in advance
:)

That’s first class, I am now told that Wigan has sold north of 8,000, hopefully that figure will improve.

Just on that subject, I've been as usual getting a bit frustrated at the usual doom mongering predictions about the attendance for Saturdays game

For a start we spent the week before the last 2 semi finals talking about how embarrassing it will be etc and got beat, and people will say what does it matter etc but when you constantly talk things down don't be surprised if people believe it's bad and in Turn do the same and it ends up self-perpetuating

Secondly, and I wish I had the knowledge and patience to find my post from last year when exactly the same was happening were I predicted the attendance would be a good one at it ended up at nearly 13,000 with nearly 9000 of that from Wigan which was far from shabby or embarrassing
This year is exactly the same, 10 days ago people posting our attendance would be embarrassing etc, and once again we will end up selling 8/9000 and with the 6 million coming from HKR it will be a good effort given the many circumstances

Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

There is just no rush for a home semi, in a stadium that holds 25,000. I’ve got my ticket this evening and I go to every game. A couple of lads I go with have yet to buy them. The weather looks fantastic on Saturday as well, so plenty might fancy a live game and a few beers in the sun on the day.

It’s fascinating seeing some opposition fans taking the mick, when Wigan will have far more fans in the home stands on Saturday than their average attendances or even what some stadiums hold. Would we like more? Of course we would but there are a few factors at play.

The ticket map doesn't look too bad now - the South and West doesn't look far off what it is for the regular season and I'm sure a fair few will buy on the day. I do wish we could get a few more in the camera facing stand, particularly for terrestrial TV games.

I’m not particularly bothered about the crowd. It’s a conversation piece on a regular basis and at times I fall into the we need a full house for a semi final. A big crowd would be great but what I really want is a win. Ideally French and Field get a few tries tries a piece but if it’s 4-0 and Smithies scores the winner that’ll do me. Our record in recent SF isn’t great so first and foremost I want a win.
The crowds will come.
This season at times there have been disappointments on the pitch but each home game I’m really pleased on the number of children attending home games. Historically we’ve been poor at that this but recently this has definitely been changing. Really pleasing to see. The club need to incentivise youngsters who are registered for local clubs eg free ST if their families buy STs.
The club needs to really keep concentrating on bringing in younger fans rather than old farts like me.
There is definitely a feel good atmosphere within the club at at the moment and long may it continue.
Interesting times.

I agree with you Itchy, once the young ones have been hooked they will be there for life. The club can then rely on them bringing the likes of you, and me, for a nice day out!

Someone give the lads an extra shout for me, please.

First playoff game I've ever missed, I think. But we've had a party booked in for a couple of months, and none of us expected such a ridiculous kickoff time.

Pesky Silver Wedding. :D

Let’s not forget concessions for over 60s , I am in the early purchase scheme and have had the further reduction for now being over 60, no hassle the discount was done without requesting it. I bought a ticket for the Leigh game and the concessions only applied to over 65.

Absolutely.
I sit in the South Stand so at times with all the kids in there it can be distracting as they can and do get a little bored during games and start to muck about. Just like I did. Just like my sons did.
The two best things that have happened so far in the last two years is that the club is back in the community again and more children watching live games. Winning the GF this year would be the icing on the cake.

Oh I don’t.
£14 for my ticket on Saturday. Beltin value.
