Tony Braisby - TB - Obituary It is with great sadness that we have to bring you the news of the passing of RLFANS administrator, reporter, moderator and all-round decent bloke Tony Braisby, known to all as TB, who passed away on the 19th September, at the tender age of 63, after a battle against cancer which finally proved too much.
The now ‘long defunct' RLFANS Dictionary lists TB as ‘London-based Cas fan moderator closely and directly linked with Mintball.
Mostly harmless´ and those thirteen words tell you a lot about a man who was a rugby league fanatic, a thoughtful and level-headed contributor and colleague, a long-term partner and latterly husband to Amanda (Mintball), and above all a decent bloke, as you would expect of a flat cap wearing Yorkshireman, albeit on difficult missionary work in London.

Used to love his posts, lovely writing, awful news, heartfelt condolences to Mintball (miss her posts so much) and tb's friends and family.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
What a shame that is. One of the very first people I remember engaging with on here. I remember complaining about his moderation as a youngster but must have been some job to police when the sin bin was at its peak!

Condolences to all.
absolutely, but the people to do it were tb and mintball
Sad news, haven't spent a lot of time on the VT since it was like the Wild West back in the day. TB and Minty ruled the roost back then. Love to TB's family, friends and loved ones.

Same here. It was like the wild west on the Sin Bin just before social media took off but tb and Mintball were the maestros - think I've lost 3 or 4 accounts to them striking the banhammer (probably with a smile on their face ). But tb's posts were so knowledgeable and witty, I always used to look out for them and try and debate with him, and fail miserably! RIP and condolences to his family and friends.
