Some mail that Matt King could be headed to @WarringtonRLFC as assistant coach. Future NRL coach... good experience for him.

Considering he did his ACL at the start of August with a potential 9 month recovery time, I can’t see it being Lodge. He was playing well for Manly up until then so wouldn’t be surprised if they stuck with him for next season

That, along with other issues, is exactly why it's a very Warrington signing.

After we decided not to renew G King’s contract, he turned up aa arguably the best prop in our team!
We didn’t even replace him.

He definitely grew into his role, I think “arguably the best prop in our team” is stretching further than even a rubber duck could/should

G King coming back as bench prop wouldn't really be a 'Warrington' type signing. He's steady, useful and currently going well in a Top 6 (4) team. I'm sure any big club would have him as a backup prop, similar to Singleton when he went to Wigan.

The Aussies usually have three assistant coaches. Big Sam will know Kingy from the Roosters and King has worked under some elite coaches. Fantastic appointment, IMO.
