I disagree on this point.
Most if not all owners and chairmen including our own are very vocal with the RFL.
They just chose to do it in the right forum in a professional way.
That is where DM has dropped the ball here.
He could have voiced his opinion without carrying on like this and raised it the correct way.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.
I really don’t get the love in for Beaumont this season. Fans hailing that he’s good for the game etc. this is a man who wilfully stopped paying his players and that video proves what an odious little man he really is
He’s been very silly in his post match comment fuelled on emotion.
The reason he is such a character is because he is unpredictable and to be fair he has been a fantastic owner and built a team he and the town should be proud of.
Decisions go your way and they go against you. I’ve not seen him carrying on when they have gone for his club.
It wasn’t the right forum for him to express these views and he needs reminding of it.
The ref was consistent on the night on the 2 calls in the cold light of day he needs to realise that and retract his comments publicly given he chose to make them public.
Life is never dull with DM in SL and it’s a better place for it no doubt.
The trouble with having characters is you can end up with someone like Koukash.
I'm not suggesting DB is of that ilk, but he certainly likes to put himself at the centre of every story.
He needs to start reining it in or he'll come unstuck at some point. He's already lost quite a bit of the goodwill that he's built up this season.
Even with a clearly whopping ego, Derek has surprised plenty this year with his general sporting manner but it always felt like he’d been to the Jackson Hastings PR finishing school and the mask has slipped, which just makes me laugh tbh.

We've seen real change this season all driven by having an organisation outside of the RFL having a real say on things.
Things don't change if left to the RFL. Pressure needs to be put on them.
Yep, real pressure generated from addressing your own fans threatening to pull out. Look at all the media coverage sunshine. It’s negative, it makes the sport look even more shoddier than it is. Go through the correct channels

You seem to really not understand how media attention works. Positive, or negative it creates a response and gets people talking.
Again, you talk about the game being made to look shoddy but want to get rid of someone who puts his hand into his pockets.
Answer the question "sunshine" is he worse than the guys who own Cas?

Yea strapping a few fireworks to the stadium and putting a stage up doesn’t make you a better owner, considering his previous antics (not playing player and having Twitter rants) Cas have done what they’ve done. Maybe they don’t have enough money as Leigh but they’ve not made fools of themselves spouting crap. There you go fella there’s the answer. I’ll await you reply with some more crap you’ll spout
I guess if you focus too much on the week that was, and not enough on the week that's coming, one of these very underwhelming performances can suddenly happen.
