Gentlemen there are one or two on here whose hot inside info may be lukewarm, but basically accusing Christopher of lying isn’t cricket. Can we have a little respectful disagreement on this forum?

Thing is if i was going to make something up I’d make sure it was a bit more interesting than ‘we offered a player a fairly good deal’.

I think Walter's chose Wigan because he wasn't getting many opportunities at the time. Had he played week in week out from the start of the season then I believe he would have stayed. That's on Rohan.

He wasn’t good enough to be picked above the senior players in front of him, then he took his opportunity well once he got a chance. If he stayed he’d be in first grade most weeks. RS put him in as soon as the opportunity was there.

Young players are perhaps less patient these days than they used to be? Agents in their ears and a sense of entitlement at points who knows. It’s very hard to get it right as a club.

Having said that I still don’t think we should have lost this player and it’s not a good look. Guys that athletic and aggressive at his size are very rare.

He probably was offering more at that early stage than lisone but I get the need to have been giving him games to get him up to speed.

I’d still probably pick Lisone over Walters now if I had to choose between them but in a couple of years when Walters fills out he could be unplayable- who knows. We need to focus on the lads that are here and want to be part of Leeds in the future now. I do really hope Holroyd nails Walters next year though!

Not sure if it's been mentioned but fitting that Austin was wearing 46 on Friday.

I wouldn`t be surprised that Walters could see how bad Tetavano and Oledzki were playing and he thought if he can`t get a game in front of those two what`s the point in staying.
Like what`s been said his agent and the player himself decided a move away would do him good and we have missed out.
But it`s happened now and there`s nothing we can do about it.
As compensation we managed to get McDonnell from Wigan who imo is our player of the year.
