It's the charging structure that's wrong and given the backlash, I fully expect it to change, can't remember whether it was Chambers or in Middletons letter that the charge used to be on a sliding scale from A to E. This for me all offences should be on a sliding scale so that you are able to grade any so you avoid this position where the MRP has backed itself into a corner because that is the category for this offence. There needs to be discretion in the sentence, a fine or one match ban would have still highlighted this but a four match ban is just crazy.
is it his responsibility to decide if a player is injured or not ? no
is it a good idea to drag a player up who is possibly injured ? no
is this the way most contact sports are going ? yes
if we want our sport to continue then we must change the game to make certain aspects of the game as safe as possible this is one of them measures, we have ward retired early josh jones too due to concussion injuries. being stupid and saying they knew they could get injured so there should be no safety measures put in place to protect the players as best they can.

nothing to do with touch rugby but common sense if a payer is injured looks like he DO NOT try to lift him up not rocket science really is it ?
do we want our game gone as the fans refuse to accept the dangers the players are facing? or do we try to mitigate these for the game to continue, literally some fans clearly dont care about the safety of their players and are ok with them suffering after their career is over !!!!

I think everyone is behind player welfare and protecting the players, it's about how this applied that grinds my gears, and giving appropriate sanctions and the inconsistent nature.
You mentioned concussions (I'd also add Lachlan Coote and Kevin Brown, and a number of others). So how come Tommy Makinson has five instances cited for high tackles (yes I know only one was charged but five made contact with the head) he gets a fine. Whereas Vaughan tugs at a shirt of a player returning to his feet obviously taking the mickey and gets 4 games four games. I've said before the previous precedents (SKD, mata'utia) are not the same action (SKD had just clobbered him with a high shot so there was potential to be injured. Levi was on his back making no attempt to get up). It just sends out the wrong message and the priority is wrong however good natured the intent.

No idea how Makinson keeps getting away with it, his head shot record shames O'Loughlin. Neither of his high tackles in the Wire game were deserving of a ban but he needs to start receiving some cumulative punishment - he's a dirty so and so.
Still not sure how Batchelor wasn't cited - not a ban but it was a high shot and an 8 point try to boot.
I think the ruling in place for moving a potentially injured player is absolutely valid, but there is clearly a difference in what Vaughan did, give out a ban if its to send out a message, 2 games. But 4 games for that is crazy, should be much more of a sliding scale if we have to stick so rigidly to the gradings.
To counter the doom and gloom of people giving up on the sport, a 25% increase in our attendances is great considering the season we have had. I appreciate it was off a low base in 2022, but still our highest avg attendance since 2016 - our last LLS year - almost 11k avg for the season. Makes you wonder what a sustained period of success would bring in terms of attendances, I think they'd be looking to extend the HJ.
Good news for the league as a whole too, with highest avg attendance since 2012 for SL overall.
Sort out the disciplinary, get rid of six again's and we can keep progressing.

If you get a four match ban for touching someone on the basis they could be injured with no better evidence than 'they are moving a bit slowly', anyone who has tackled Dudson this year should have received multi-game suspensions.
