No doubt they are good professionals and are nice to have around the squad, but if I was defending opposite them tomorrow I would sleep well tonight. No pace, no power, no real ability to create space, no ability to beat a man, not good on kick chase, not excellent defenders, not aggressive with line speed, not meter eaters…
Fair summary, but it would have been easier to just say they are no good.

Anyway, Lasty never heard anything, and then McNamara called him, had a good chat and made him an offer over the phone there and then so signed the contract.
Burgess called Lasty after the news had come out and was surprised saying that he thought they had an agreement in place etc. and Lasty told him that he had never received any kind of offer so took the Catalans offer
How odd If this is the case it tells me that the undermining of Burgess has already commenced before he’s even taken up his new role.

I think that this is harsh as far as Ratchford is concerned, in his pomp I used to enjoy watching him 'ball in hand' linking especially out to the left...you know when we had a decent team. A lot was made about him and Hodgson and I actually thought smith made the right pick at the time.
We can talk about him never being a good fit in an one position but ultimately Ratchford's 'problem' is our problem as team, our powers have declined and I think we've held on to each other for too long in a leading role. A case of 'you've been a good act but have been on too long'.
The other bloke 'peanut' ARGGGH what has he ever done for us very poor signing IMO
Apologies for continuing the thread drift perhaps FMC can tell me off
Although Kasiano is limited by seemingly not being able to do big minutes he does have a couple of valuable attributes with his size & being able to get the ball away to supporting runners. When he is on the field ,the game plan needs to ensure that there are always runners on his shoulders otherwise we will never benefit from what he offers.

Clark is still good enough to be signed by saints. Vaughan will probably be selected for the dream team. Yep, our front row are garbage.
