Wasn’t that round 5 early season so I’m not sure at that point the club had considered dual deals. They were only discussed months after dagger signed.

If it doesn’t then would the homegrown fee apply? There’s a number of questions around this for Eseh and Pratt. To lose them on a free after developing would be poor.

As I understand it, as long as we offered them a contract more than they have now (even by a pound) then the fee still applies.

The RFL have now changed the rules, there is now a minimum salary and a top 25 earner clause in there. There are also rules around ‘material change’ to contracts and any change from a super league one to a championship deal would likely invoke this and nullify any compensation rights we currently have.

I Pratts case surely he's now moving from one championship team to another unless York pull off a surprise. Not much change really. If he want's to go home to York though fair enough lets get someone who wants to be here, Joe Law for example. I do hope we hold onto to Oli though as I've been impressed with him for some time.

Pratt has the potential to be something special but he's still got a lot of development to go. Especially physically. If he feels York is a better fit for him to do that then so be it but I'd have thought Wakefield would have been a better chance for him
Saying that, although he's a different style and doesn’t quite have the same star quality, I think Law is ahead of him in some parts of his development and is worth keeping.

I guess once he has a release it's up to him where he goes after that, we'll have no say. Hope he stays but from what i hear York are gearing up to give a decent go next year so they can probably match what we'd pay him and being closer to home might swing it.
On Joe Law, has he been injuted? Can't say i've noticed his name in any of the more recent reserves or academy games? Wouldn't be against him getting a run out Friday if he is available.

Jowitt Lineham Lyne (rumoured to Cas) Langi ? Gale Lino Eseh Hood ? Ashurst Griffin Pitts
Kay Dagger Pratt Law Roberts Butterworth Smith (rumoured to Hull) Tanginoa (rumoured everywhere) Kershaw (rumoured to Cas)
