But watching rovers game on Saturday evening I was struck by, when the game was in the balance (6 - 0 for a long period) and rovers were under the cosh a little bit, just how quiet it was. Bearing in mind that we are always being lectured by the other side about their 'rocking atmosphere', you could hear a pin drop at times, I think I heard someone applying ketchup to their burger over at the Hull Fair outpost at one point!
I kept thinking my tv set had put itself into mute mode so deafening was the silence! I was under the impression that all rovers games were a re-enactment of a Liverpool European night from back in the 1970s! My telly must be on the blink I guess!!
You silly sausage, you would give your left arm for the atmosphere at Craven Park. No fans sing for 80 minutes. Granted you had decent atmosphere at Boulevard, but to say the MKM can be a "tad soulless" is laughable it is non excitant.
