Yeah fk it what does pride and resilience mean, might as well go for another 50 it wouldn't have any bearing on whether the coach or players are fit for their jobs. Honestly shabs you have me scratching my head at times.

We won’t magic up a win from unicorn mist against Cas, who will be highly motivated to beat us.

We are going to have to get the selection right and have better individual performances.

Honestly might be time to put one or two reserves / academy lads in - Leon injured now and Olpherts shouldn’t play again IMO. We are busted.

111 unanswered points in two games.

Worst defeat in super league history

First time we've conceded 50 points in back to back games since 1996

First time we've been nilled in back to back games in the super league era

Recruitment barely underway

Absolutely shameful. Smith has to be on very very thin ice

Smith obviously has to front up for that loss, but we need to look beyond him at some of the individual 'efforts' by senior players. We had no halfbacks again, so to have a chance of even competing the forwards have to have a big crack. None of them did, and our quite experienced threequarter line looked like an amateur team as well.

The scale of the defeat says a lot about the way the squad has fallen apart. There are still a fair few in that team who won't be here next season, and a bunch more who won't be first choice if they stay. I'd imagine team spirit is almost non-existent now, and the season just can't end fast enough.

I'd hope we get some kind of response next week, but the senior players gave up a week ago. Unfortunately we have no depth at all to make changes. Smith could pick Edgell etc but unless the senior pros stand up the 'experience' will be pointless aside from getting battered in front of a crowd. His choices boil down to just playing as close to the same 17 and hope some sort of pride in performance kicks in, or picking a bunch of kids who'll at least try. Either way another big defeat looks likely.

JJB was awful as coach. He was probably better than Agar, but as Agar admitted that the team had stopped listening to him that's not saying much. We won two, drew one and lost three games on JJB's watch, with the two wins being against Toulouse and KR, who were far weaker than this year. Smith may not have done well this year but its a ridiculous re-writing of history to suggest he wasn't responsible for the turnaround last season.
