Haven't heard what he said tonight, but commenting on his previous utterings, he talks as though he's a neutral bystander, looking in and not privy or party to any sort of decision making.

Yet this isn't the case. He's a director of the club and as such bound by the collective decisions the club, and he, makes. If he doesn't agree with them,, on such a scale, he can resign. But he hasn't.

This dual role he has carved out for himself doesn't, and never has, sat well with me.

nothing.
we need an experienced coach who has been there and done it.
not a guy who has never coached at this level, is learning nothing and is incapable of driving this team forwards.
and hetherington and jjb and the other coaching staff should go too

Brian Mac would bring a bit of Heart back?

I guarantee those wanting him to stay would have a different view if her were coaching another club

I get it we have a load of youngsters playing.
But some of those youngsters played well last season such as Gannon, Newman, O`Connor, Holroyd.
Yet this season they have gone backwards.
Johnson and Sinfield 2 for the future I thought but I`m scratching my head where that idea has come from.
There was a young kid playing for Warrington last night and he was way ahead of Sinfield based on his last two games.
Experienced players like Olpherts, Handley, Oledzki, Smith embarrassing tonight.
We, as many have said have a better 21 than last year but have played worse this season, Why?
It`s ok saying it`s just a game or chill and move on.
Maybe the players have the same mantra.
To me it`s all about structure, passion and desire to win at all costs.
If we lose that desire the fans will stop supporting us, decent players won`t want to come and play for us and we battle it out to finish in 8th/9th every season.

Totally agree mate. Good post. That team out tonight should not have lost 61-0. No where near. A freak one off maybe but not on the back of a 50-0 home defeat. It’s very very worrying indeed and I think tell us all what the players think of Smith and tells us about his abilities. He is on very very very thin ice

Makes the timing and clarity of the GH interview very interesting indeed.

Probably not a popular view but based on who could be available I would take Sean Wane. At least he would lead from the front and say it as it is.

Thanks Rohan for playing the players out of position. No wonder we can't play as a team when you don't know where your team mate is going to be.

Smith has to go for me. If I was a prospective signing, there is no chance I’d be wanting to play in this structure. There is not a single area we have excelled in this year.

Actually we retained possession from short kick offs at least three times this evening so that was quite excelly.
