Been brilliant for us, he’ll go back there a better player.
He contracted with them til 2026.
Looks worlds ahead of Keighran to be but I’ll judge him when he arrives.
Over the next month Toby King can put his name in the Wigan history books if we get that GF win.
RICHARDS IS SUPERMAN!!!!

He has worked hard but he isn’t a centre. A modern day phenomenon of “hard” yards but no zero craft. Wardle or King? Wardle 10 out of 10 times. Thanks for your efforts but your current contract valuation exceeds your capabilities. Good luck in the future. Just an opinion.

I judge a centre on how many tries his winger scores. Hes done ok

Always likely to happen once Powell was shown the door, personally disappointed though.
Styles make fights as they say and his style really suits the way we play. In my opinion he has been comfortably our best centre this year (although Wardle is starting to hit the straps now).
His replacement is a more skilful centre however my concern having seen him “up close” last week is his lack of size and post contact meters. This means we are going to have to change the way we play a little to accommodate him.
I’m sure King will be looking forward to a fresh start at Wire under Burgess, I’m sure it will be an exciting opportunity to work with a genuine star of the game, but I’m also sure he will be leaving feeling he has contributed to a season at Wigan on the field and enjoyed his time here.
In some ways I hope he see him back, in others I don’t because should he return it will mean Eckersley hasn’t made the grade or Wardle will be away, but that’s all for the future and for 2023 let’s hope he returns to his parent club with a GF winners ring.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

He’s been really good for us and looks to really enjoy it here. The move has worked out for him and us and he’ll go with people’s best wishes. His reception back here will be warmer than the one he was given back at Wire earlier in the season.
Not entirely sure about the warm reception myself. After seeing our fans boo Tomkins to high heaven the year after he was a main catalyst in us winning the 2018 Grand Final, i am convinced some of our fans will boo anybody solely for having the gall to play for anybody but Wigan, we can be a bitter lot.
Seemed to shock Tomkins that day as well, he looked like a deer in headlights all game and had a stinker.
King leaves with my best regards, i would have liked to keep him, and from reading the statement so did the club and had agreed to before the new marquee rule came in. Will look forward to seeing how Keighran fits in, certainly a different style of player.

I think there was probably a bit of bitterness towards Tomkins because he wanted to leave the club when he didn't need to. King on the other hand seemingly wanted to stay and had no say in the matter. You look at Williams and he gets pelters but again, he wanted to leave the club when he didn't need to and choose not to come back, when he could've done. It all comes down to be people feeling rejected, as though they've been dumped by their partner King is like a persons partner being deported! It's not her fault and there's not much you can do either.

We tried to lower his deal at the time, and i did feel that his reasonings for leaving at the time where fair and most would have done the same.
Also, one could argue King was never our partner to begin with
