Nah I understand that decision. I feel like even if it was a normal drop out, they'd have made it back up in plenty of time to take the drop goal and we'd have lost anyway. At least he tried to get the ball back for us in that position. It didnt come off, then same result occurs regardless.

Bev Risman in the 60's at Wilderspool had his shorts ripped off when he made a break and in the clear in just his jock strap. He bounced(literally) three quarters of the pitch to score the try.

More dignified than some of the apparel they wear under their shorts these days. Have you seen those garish, Jackson Pollock on speed in a Dulux factory briefs we keep getting an unwanted glimpse of?
Billy slater heading into touch in the closing stages of the 2008 world cup final flinging the ball back in field for Benji Marshall to collect and score.
Or Brett Hodgsons pass to Matt King in an origin 3 decider (think it was 2006). The ball goes to ground. Queensland pick it up to score to win the series followed by winning the next 7 series.

I remember a game at Wakefield where we were 6 points up going into the last couple of minutes. Wakefield scored but missed the conversion, which should have sealed the game for us. Then we gave away a stupid penalty which gave them a chance to kick a penalty to salvage a draw. The Wire fans were absolutely furious. Steve McNamara was their goalkicker, and his kick didn't even make it to the posts. Unfortunately it made it to Dean Busby who tried to catch it but knocked on, a Wakefield player picked it up and scored, sealing the win for Wakefield.
There was another game which didn't involve us, but was in the Salford-Wakefield relegation decider the year Salford went down (and we narrowly survived with Cullen coming in at the end of the year). Salford got a penalty a couple of yards out, I can't remember exactly the scenario but think kicking a penalty would have been good for them at that point in the game. But they had a prop who had come over from the NRL who decided to take a quick tap and dive over the line for the try, but he knocked on in the process of taking the tap. Salford lost and that game was decisive in relegating them.

I saw one where Clark was pulled up for a forward pass & Mat. popped back inside a few yards. Might be another one cos it didn't look anything like a chance to me.
