Unbelievable after a performance like that just coming on to have a gripe about the attendance. What did you expect- half the country having a BBQ, England football and rugby union on TV, and playing a team who's away support was probably about a dozen! The important thing tonight was the result, and the crowd inspired by that performance created a great atmosphere. Hard to know where to start with individual players in what was a fantastic team performance - thought Tangata put in a massive shift, Crooks had a great game topped off with the pass for Walmsleys try, and JWH as is often the case looked the best player on the pitch. Could say something positive about every single player tonight - just hope we're not to badly affected by injuries after some massive collisions.

Stuck with them in the first 40 and then a huge second half saw us get on top and dominate for big minutes and when we were on our line hold them out.
Hard to choose an outright M o M with some good performances across the park, so I'll give it to the full 17.

Main downside is the number of knocks picked up but at least there's a full week + 1 to recover.

Spot on mate. Home in Birchencliffe now having a beer and listening to some reggae. I'll comment on that very good performance tomorrow! Up The Fax!

One other player I meant to mention was Alex Sutcliffe - he really lifted the team as soon as he came on including a thumping tackle that led to JWH's try. He looked completely lost when played at centre, but if he could maintain yesterday's firm I'd be delighted if he signed for next year.

I agree with that and without going too far off topic it would show once again that we can get some benefit from the DR system even though I don't agree with it. A couple of training sessions and a weekend in France the players and coaching staff would have learnt a lot about Sutcliffe so again we could be looking at try before we buy.

Fantastic performance, and without AOB!!! Inman was outstanding and would have him ahead of AOB who's the wrong side of 30 if there is indeed an issue of who to retain going forward.

Full marks to the fans who really got behind the team. Hopefully York and Whitehaven will do us a favour today, and we'll benefit more from a Widnes win at London.

Well we didn't get off to the flyer i hoped for but from 4v12 down we steeled ourselves and for the last three quarters of the game Fax more or less bossed the game and looked more like the full time team than the visitors. It was one of our best displays of the season with Crookes putting in a MOM display in front of Lee who was sat in the stand watching. Tom Inman showed just why he should be playing more, when he came on our attack visibly quickened. Mainly though it was an all round team performance against a team who showed why they are second in the table at times but also why they are beatable. For Fax though, a vital win which if it does lead us into the play-offs should be a marker for us and a warning to the other teams that when we play like that we are capable of beating anyone in this division. Up The Fax!

The start of the game reminded me of the game against Featherstone, they looked big and strong and how fast is there fullback with them scoring what looked like easy tries. Then once salty dived over in the corner we grew into the game and they lost a bit of their sting in attack as there starting forwards went off and i would say we was on top pretty much from there on. The hit on Gee sent a shudder into the stand but it was good to see him return in the second half. Some of our defence in the second half was as good as i have seen in a long time and like as been said it was a very good team performance but surely Keyes should of not got m.o.m he did nothing wrong but a number of his team mates were very good. We just need some results to go our way now and for us to get the job done over the next 2 weeks.
