I am not saying Smith should go however the coaching performance at the club should be assessed alongside everything else. As Seth has said Walker and Grix don't fill me with enthusiasm and are they Smiths choice or the club selections. Pre-season was poor and not taken seriously with lots of players played out of position and this rolled into the season. We obviously have had no luck with injuries but this affects all clubs. I would like to see Leeds start pre-season next year with a first choice 1 - 17 and an obvious structure of how we want to play. No tinkering just best players in their positions and developing their role in the team. 6th place should not be the summit of a club of Leeds statues ambition.

Can’t see him lasting 10 games with more Ls than Ws after having cap marquee and quota available. Even my patience is pretty thin, although the common denominator for me is GH as far as bad player decisions go,

From Leeming leaving and others following and none being replaced, injuries and concussions.
But also Smith and GH have recruited and retained many clearly second rate players.
And yet again today we barely played the ball in the Wigan 25. This has happened in many games when we had far more players available and is due to the passive approach of the coach.
IF this was one of the other big clubs like Wigan or Saints, both GH and Smith would be removed due to underperforming.
It urgently needs to happen but won’t.
CEOs in Hetherington position don’t just get ‘removed’, whos going to ‘remove’ him?
It may well be time to start looking at the set up but Hetherington isn’t just going to get sacked, that needs far more managing than say sacking a coach or getter rid of players

I think RS was frankly over-confident after our Indian summer last year and run to the GF.
The truth is the squad is where it is in the table pretty much on merit: our first grade squad when fit might have make the top six but we really don’t look contenders. To be fair RS does tend to play the specialist player in position when fit, he’s been forced into square pegs and round holes almost all season.

Fan revolt would force his hand but we are a little way off.

Agree with this. RS gave the impression that he thought things would carry on going his way, and he squandered the pre-season.
