[quote="Steve0"]Thing is, it's some of the smaller / worse ones that are staying for next year, Cator, Lane, Fash, Brown...all lacking size and all will be called on at some point or playing most weeks[/quote. You can gave 1 or 2 of them in the squad as work horses but not all. We gave added a lot of bulk to our pack with one more to come. Saying that our backs aren't the greatest

Hopefully only 1 or 2 max find themselves as regulars next season, can’t carry them.

I'm not sure if they will, I feel like for a lot of fans, me included, this season was the season to give it one last shot. If Wigan had the same season as us, and I saw that next year Keighran, Leeming, Chan and Walters were coming in, that'd make me excited and give it another shot, but at the moment, whilst our signings could turn out ok, personally, I don't think they're inspiring, we've got a second row who's fans nicknamed him knockonbur, an unknown 20 year old prop who could be brilliant or could struggle (remember how good Bienek looked from a highlight reel?), Ese'ese brings experience and could be good, Ashworth and Tindall who struggle to get games for their current clubs, and Walker, whilst a good player, make it looks like Hoy will be in the halves, playing in ta position where we should have made recruitment our number 1 priority. The club have to start performing to make me want to attend regularly again, rather than going for the sake of it out of blind loyalty to the club in the faint hope that we will come good again.
Whilst pleased for Cas that this win all but secures their status. I have to agree with others on here. there’s a consistent malaise within the group and lack of professional pride. kr recruited 3 of our players and something like 5 from Bradford, but they brought in leaders too. All the top teams have natural leaders minimum 2 or 3. I can’t see even one in our 17.

Pretty much copy and paste of the Warrington & Leeds games, stuck it to Wigan but just fell short and since then they’ve not looked anything like and switched off.
For me Smith should be taking some responsibility too for continuing to select certain players and repeating the combinations that have failed so many times even under Hodgson.
Granted we are a basket case but there’s no excuse for that level of non performance from so called professional sportsmen regardless of where they are playing next season.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
Lane is awful, but Cator offers very little, massively overrated by alot of our fans.
When Cator first came into the team it seemed to work, he shored up the defense and his work rate seemed to spur on some of his compatriots while others took on the metre making going forward. Currently in this pack he is just anonymous. No argument on Lane, just not good enough.
