Would agree as there is no point signing a quota player just to fill it if it is not going to improve or benefit us, we've done that once too often.

The market has certainly changed in terms of recruiting players for the NRL as even fringe players particularly in terms of halves and hookers seem to be playing the waiting game to see if they'll get a deal in the NRL. Think this is further evident with the likes of Sezer getting a deal back in the NRL (even Reynolds got one before retiring). The financial gulf between NRL and SL is bigger than ever which also won't be helping either.

Maybe as has been mentioned previously October/November might be a better time which was around the time we managed to secure Clifford when NRL teams have pretty much finalised their squads for the coming year.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I mean, it's all very well demanding that the club spontaneously create nonexistent players whenever they are needed but what if that process takes six months? Or even seven?

Don’t need to grow one, money talks. Something we should have plenty of given the players leaving. Seems like club are panicking after failing to get a 7 in, so far.

Seriously think the club are hoping Clifford comes back to the club in 2025 or earlier in 2024 if he cant force his way as first choice into the team in the NRL.

Wrong. If money talked then Clifford wouldn't have walked.

Money is important but there are a lot of factors at play. Like, if you want to sign a player then the player has to exist. You can't sign a player who isn't real.

And since when are we panicking? Are we displaying any sign of panic?

Certainly wouldn't be boring, think signing Walker has put paid to him coming, probably all changed with the Truman injury, would have been Salior, Hoy and Trueman.

Probably end up at Catalans to partner Fages.

They need a replacement for Tomkins so more likely play full back

By changing our recruitment target, maybe?

Looks like we were/are in for Sailor

Had a google and saw an article about being arrested for sexual assault but its another one of Wendell's sons phew!

Wendell got a ban for cociane, so hopefully we are checking this sons behaviour out as seems the family have a few scandals!

Only played 4 times this year but he is backup to Origin player Walsh and the Broncos are flying so thats not a concern.

Pretty sure it was Tristan who was charged. Later found not guilty

A lot of desperation to sign a 7, no need to panic. As the old saying goes, forwards win a game and backs decide by how much.

If there isn’t a top scrum half who takes our fancy the club shouldn’t waste a a quota spot on one. Sign a domestic one and a quota hooker or worse comes to worse another back rower.

What we sign this year, we’re stuck with for 2-3 years. I’d rather have 1-2 poor seasons building than consistently being rubbish because we’re desperate
