Or Morgan Smith and an overseas hooker or another backrower.

I’d tend to agree with this. Would like another Back rower, Hooker & half.

I’m starting to think that we need a back rower the most next year if houghton is playing on. But thinking long term we need a hooker more than anything else.

Interesting to see where we sign.

Morgan smith is definitely a good back up addition for 7 or 9.

That's a good call, him, Watson or someone similar who can cover hooker and halfback.

No NRL 7 , will come to SL on a 12 month contract, because
Quote:IF we signed a overseas 7 , on a 2 year deal, that would obviously end any hope of re-signing Clifford.
Also, there maybe is a better choice of 7s next year.
Also Tuimavave and Hoy are off contract next season, maybe a 7 & 9 are being lined up .

Unless he has a Clifford like release clause !

I'm happy to see Jack Walker return. Speedy and skilful, has done well at Rovers.

Just need an import half/hooker and a UK second row and that's pretty pleasing recruitment. Only slight concern is lack of an on-field leader so hopefully that will be addressed with the remaining quota player (and if he can kick goals as well that would be peachy).

My thoughts exactly and surely we wouldn't? Clifford , if he comes back to SL, will go to whomever pays him the biggest salary, or offers a chance of actual success, that may be us , but let's not kid ourselves, because despite what our emotional investment is to our club, he is an Australian, with no particular attachment to Hull FC, other than being a stand out player in an otherwise weak team, who is going home to be a standby, for Chad Townsend or Tom Dearden. If they play well, Jake doesn't get a game and they're both pretty durable players too. I think Hull will have a suitable replacement lined up, because otherwise our pack will be wasted, if we cannot finish our sets off attacking wise. I think there may be something in the Schneider link, it would be karma, for Hudgell, if we took Rovers best fullback and best halfback for next year.

Schinder is signing for Penrith.

Not sure what the club can do, doesn't seem to be any decent halfbavks available.

Rather us stick with Trueman and Hoy than panic sign the likes of Gale or Reynolds.
