Exactly - I think he's been signed for a specific reason, if he can be calm controlled and lead the team around without being flashy he could be a decent signing, the stick he has been getting is way OTT

He's obviously not terrible. To play anywhere near the NRL, you have to be a good player. He's just not exciting at all, and the other question is why sign him when there's been other halves that seem better on the market - Tyrone May and Mitchell Pierce being good examples.
The other side is how can HKR have spine players of Parcell, Litten, Abdull, Lewis, May, Milnes, Hiku and the lad from Cas for next year, but we look so light contrastingly. Not all those are world beaters, but it's great depth in those positions to have. Hiku has been in great form for the Cowboys for the last 2 years too.

Yep, hopefully he can be a calming, controlling influence that we thought Sezer would be. And he's currently playing in a decent NRL side - he can't be that terrible. Let's give the kid a chance guys.

While not wowed by the signing of Frawley let's give the guy a chance. He seems to want to come and at 28 has relatively low miles on the clock so potentially less likely to pick up injuries. If he's replacing Sezer who on paper is the better player but has only fleetingly performed it is probably on less money and he has something to prove and all the reports describe him as a team player. The key is what happens now and if Frawley is part of a wider jigsaw with bigger names still to arrive and full cap plus marquee spots used. If that's the case then he could be a useful signing however if its him and Myler with a couple more uninspired signings still to come in and the cap wasted with no obvious marquees filled then all criticism will be fully justified. We need a couple of x factor players to take us to the next level.

Mitchel piearce will be 35 next year and wants to go home.
Id have taken May but he’s not the same type of player as Frawley.

Frawley is a half back in a side that has made the play offs in the NRL despite having a maverick coach in Stewart. One thing is certain he will be an improvement on Sezer who has been a terrible signing. He needs time to show what he can do but in order to do that he needs a pack of forwards to deliver him a platform. The likes of Oldeski and Bentley need to up their game significantly and Cameron Smith needs to stay out the plays.
Hopefully more signings to come - hopefully the likes of Myler and Donaldson are fringe players not weekly starters.

Agree, I think Donaldson gives everything so I respect him for that. Personally I would move Myler on.
