Mistake? Could be but everyone’s the wiser after the event and since you only joined as miseryguts on the 28th of July 2023 I can’t confirm if you said we needed a clear out last year or not.
On the other hand we have several claiming throughout the year that with the squad we have we should be pushing to be in the top two and Grix is the reason we aren’t so which is it, a top two squad or one that should have had a clear out last year, because it it can’t be both.

On giving an idea. What about getting a life.
Come on, I'm sure Simon wouldn't mind you sharing.
I probably should have added that the list been so big is probably one of the reasons a number of people on here were calling for Grix to be sacked (Obviously not including myself in that as you know that didn't happen from trawling my posts )

Don't expect much to be released by the club until our season ends, using any new signings to try and drive season ticket sales. People on here seem to be suggesting moving on quite a few who are already contracted for next year - whilst likely impractical, I'd also prefer to give players like Tibbs a chance to perform for a new coach. One possible signing muted on here is Widdop; while it would make a great story, I'd definitely prefer not to tie up a sizeable part of our player budget on a player quite likely to spend a fair chunk of the season out injured - and who plays in positions occupied by arguably our 3 best players. One player who I would love us to tie down, in spite of our glut of hookers, is O'brien - Don't think there's a hooker to touch him in this league. While he wouldn't have the PR value of Widdop, PR doesn't win you games.

Mmmm, so on a thread about retentions / recruitment I see your still in Grix out denial mode, why keep mentioning it then, guilty conscience obviously.
And now according to you the reason a number of people were calling for Grix to be sacked was because of the amount of penalties / handling errors conceded by the players this season.
How do you know, did you simply remember it or did you have to trawl through their posts.
If not you who were they, name them and show us where they said it.
Or are you just making things up again.

There was literally about two people on here who wanted grix gone and about 3 people on Facebook, there was the midget tony on the coach who played a couple of games for the park amateurs and claimed he was a better coach than grix ( quite funny on Sunday watching him get told to shut up by Hilda for arguing with the Whitehaven fans ) then ironically the ones who wanted him gone photobombed the celebrations after the London cup win and changed their profile pics to them hugging grix and the 1895 cup . I hope Finn knows what he's letting himself in for , lose a couple of games and he'll be the worst coach since the last bald bearded one we had.

Widdop has not been shy about telling people that he wants to finish his career at Fax but the question is would he come for what we would be prepared and able to offer him? Ive seen him a few times at Cas this season and he looks to be a player very much intent on winding down his career and looking after himself, I don't blame him for that in the same way I didn't blame Scott Grix for doing the same for us, but the question is do we want or need a player like that. For me we have the best players in the league in key positions in JWH, Keyes, Joufrett and Obrien and any spare money should be used to tie down AOB.

At this point your posts just feel like bizarre ramblings. I can only assume you have thought the same reading it back and editing it so many times. Just take a breath before posting.

If AOB is signed, we can't continue chopping the team every now and then so just to give Inman or Moore some game time. Therefore one of them needs to be released but I thought they're both contracted for next season.
Not sure about Widdop. He looked slow at fullback when watching Cas's hiding at Warrington, he got badly skinned a couple of times. I don't think he'll light up the team tbh, especially if he becomes part time and loses some fitness and zip.

Exactly, I'm not sure where it has come from that everyone on here wanted Grix sacked infact after last season he had strong support on here. Yes some people questioned signings, me included, but its a message board and people are going to talk about things to do with the club. It really was not till quite some way in to the season that there was a shift in the supporter base.
Ive said in various places after our poor results that I thought we needed a change as things had got stale, I mean that happens time and time again at clubs when a manager has been there a while so its not like its just Fax fans. There seems to be this belief that some people hate Simon Grix but I can't imagine that is further from the truth and despite claims of hate abuse, how much of that did people see? Wether people like it or not Simon Grix will go down in the clubs history as the last coach that won a trophy at Wembley.
