Yes I agree with that it's completely pointless on tackle 1 there's no advantage at all. Isn't it a penalty in the NRL

Perhaps six again should only be awarded in the 20 box. That would make a difference. How can people have such different views on two players - LIlley and Lawrence? Cannot believe an Argus comment saying they were both rubbish

Wasn't at the game or seen any footage but on the balance of probability I would find Featherstone guilty of all charges and deduct 30 league points.

As a neutral I thought the Bulls had a good dig. Fev looked very ordinary and don't look to be bringing much to the table even if they do go up. Prefer Wakey and Cas to stay up over them TBH or Toulouse to come up. At least it's a decent away trip.

Again though, the opposition team were constantly talking to the ref and so I got the feeling it was reffed to their expectations that we had to adjust to that.

Not saying the ref was poor but they constantly, shall we say, sought guidance and as such the ruck was policed to their requirements. The constant holding down, flops and general pratting about at the PTB was a little irritating.

All in all I went away happy as during most of the second half I felt sure we'd nick it and my expectations were that we'd have capitulated on 60 mins and gone down by 30.

The score certainly flattered them.

Sorry, can't agree that that it was reffed to Fev's expectations. How many 6 agains did Bradford get? Far more than Fev, and rightly so as I thought we were guilty in laying on too long. So to say the ruck was policed to our requirements is clearly wrong. There was no way Fordy would have wanted all those 6 agains against us with the extra tackling that ensues.

I too thought Bradford had a dig without ever really threatening to beat Fev. Bradford made no breaks up the middle. DFJ had couple of runs up the wing that petered out and both tries had an element of luck: the bounce that fell nicely for the first, and the awful drop out that led to a penalty 10 out which Bradford were able to capitalise on.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Agree mostly with your coments. Our defence worked well to keep the scoreline so close, but our attacks petered out at the wrong times. We missed the tackle count a god few times, and turned the ball over too tamely for my liking. In the sweltering heat, I thought both teams gave a pretty energetic performance, and only looked to be tiring towards the last 10 minutes or so.
In terms of promotion, when you compare Fev with Leigh in their final championship year, the prospects of Fev setting SL on fire with their current team are pretty poor. They look like a team who will struggle against the established SL clubs. At least they have a better chance of their moment of glory than us - at the moment

Featherstone only need a squad good enough to win promotion this season. They've got that. Building a team for next season they will need to sign a load of players but that's their problem.

With no automatic relegation next season it really won't matter what sort of team they could put on the field if they go up. If they were to keep their place in SL it will be decided by things off the field.

I did'nt know Myers has a one match ban for the York game which he picked up against Swinton. Anyone know what it was for?

There was something which went on report , was it kicking out in the tackle? Was that Myers?
