Yeah, I'm doing these again.

How do we feel Harrison is doing? Nearly 2 seasons in.

Part of me was worried start of last year as it seemed he wasn't going to fix our forward problem, he was a tall man, not a BIG forward which we were missing, but he's grown on me, I was quite impressed with his link play on Saturday, his passing out left 2nd half contributed to us rinsing cas in front of the north stand, maybe playing 13 full time is in his future rather than an out and out prop.

I do hope we get to see him next year without an extended injury, absence.

Thoughts?

One of a few things Powell got right. I really like him. I know Powell was looking at putting some weight on him to give him more of a Walmsley physique - if he manages that and becomes hard to handle (to add to his current abilities) he will go from a good player to an excellent one IMO.

I think Harrison`s physique is OK as it is.

He can do big minutes currently, which is handy when we have big guys like Mikaele and Kasiano who need who need to be substituted after a 20 minute stint.

Jamie Peacock had a slim frame, but it never held him back and Harrison should try to emulate his style of play.

He's not had a good uninterrupted run for a while. He started well when he arrived, but then his performances tailed off a bit. It's a pass from me, but want to see consistency in a run of appearances.

He is better than Dudson.

I don't like him as an out and out prop but he still does a decent job there.
I much prefer him at 2nd row/loose forward and might see him rotate with Nicholson at 13.
He's a good player and only just hitting his prime years as a forward. And the fact he covers all forward areas (bar hooker) so it's a plus.

This is so much better than the unofficial James Harrison thread, whatever that was.

The more I see of JH the more I’m convinced. Just needs a decent run to get into a bit of form. His lines at the weekend on and off the ball were great. That might be down to Gleeson of course.

A solid squad player, which isn't meant in a derogatory way. Puts a shift in, looks committed but isn't really breaking the line or providing those flick passes. That being said, too many of the latter and the team would in chaos so i repeat, a solid squad player who's platform, albeit boring and unsexy, provides opportunities for others.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in P&B for the next few years.

Agree with this, he covers prop OK, but I prefer other option we have at prop. He'd be in my 17 every week though for sure.

Let's be honest, so am I!

I like him, never gonna set the world on fire but would be happy to see him in the P & B for a good few years yet (and if he gets even close to Peacock levels, then all the better)
