The season has been a disaster of our own making, a couple of half decent signings and a competent Coach would have seen us above a terrible Castleford team but the owners got it wrong, terribly wrong and have continued to get it wrong till it’s too late.

Totally agree

Something like

Dagger
Franco
Kay
Croft
Kershaw

Senior player well initially with 4 try’s and put in space but he’s not been great since.

Although, there is definitely need for change, to replace 1-5 with an untried untested back line is taking high risk to a whole new level.
Like Avenger, I'm genuinely fearful of Saints putting a big number on us tomorrow and dont see us getting more than one try (if we're lucky).
We have to replace Jowitt & Lyne but, I dont see those 5 coming in.
Also, I'd rather see Kay around the ruck at #9 or as interchange hooker.

For an unexpected change, maybe we'll see Senior cover FB and put Franco on the wing ?

Looking at the Saints 1-7 it seems almost inevitable that they will score a bucketful of points, when all we can match them with is effort.
The softly, softly approach by Mash for the Cas disaster needs to be replaced by blood and thunder.
We need the effort we showed against Wire,(I know they were crap at the time) but anything less could be embarrassing,so lets go down fighting!

Someone's said this before, but does it include crabbing across the field effectively making no yards? Running in to the middle seems more his choice move than towards the try line.

Spot on. I've never left a game in 30+ years feeling as cheated as that performance.

How on earth can you get into a game and arm wrestle when one of your starting front row is Proctor a player who does 15-20 mins tops with the majority with his hands on his knees blowing out of his backside. You're effectively starting every match with a player less.

For some reason Applegarth doesn't see this or he does but as I suspect his hands are tied. Also saying its just another game, well it wasn't to the supporters who knew our super league future depended on winning. Cas knew this that's why they changed the coach.

Hilariously in his interview with JD he now says with four games left they'll be consequences for under performance.

He was the wrong man last September and he's wrong now.
Why he's still in a job is probably because he's a patsy for Carter and Minards. The sooner the three of them are gone the better then we the fans can start getting behind the rebuild of the mess they've left.

How on earth is he a patsy for Carter and Minards?
It's not in their interests for us to lose.

I don't disagree about Proctor though. His stats are actually good while on the field but if he can't do more than 20 minutes he needs to go home.

You say it’s not in their interests to lose so why are they persisting with a coach who isn’t up to scratch.

Cas keep giving us chances to stay in it but the team won’t take advantage.

Don't know. But I'm pretty sure it's not because they are trying to make us lose.

A little bit of hope, should be snuffed out again by 1530 tomorrow, if not sooner.
