So by big changes Mash meant enforced changes. Dagger at FB. Gale and Lino blundering in the halves, Hood plodding around at 9. Proctor contributing his usual 15 minutes, Trinity in no danger of troubling the score board. How terribly uninspiring.

No one gave us hope against Wigan and yes it was a nail biter but it was a win against far far more illustrious opposition in every department. We have a knack of pulling these games out of the bag , let’s hope the rugby gods are shining down on us this Sunday
And we are missing Whitbread, Jowitt, Lyne. It will be 40+ to Saints and not many for us
I really hope that we can make something of a game of it as time is not on our side but, this could get very messy.

Lyne is usually our biggest yard maker.

Well we have managed to win 4 games and I did not expect any of those wins as I made my way to the ground. Looking at the Saints squad I don't expect to win this one either. What I am expecting is a right old mullering .
Well I’m going to be ultra realistic which will seem like pessimism!
I expect St Helens to pile a big score on us while also keeping us to nil or just one 2nd half try and that will be the end of our hopes for survival. The points difference between us and Cas will be so wide that only winning 2 more games while hoping Cas don’t win any would offer us any hope of getting off the bottom and that ain’t happening. Our team selection and performance against Castleford a few weeks ago epitomised all that’s wrong in the club and that result more than many others was a betrayal of the fans on the terraces
The season has been a disaster of our own making, a couple of half decent signings and a competent Coach would have seen us above a terrible Castleford team but the owners got it wrong, terribly wrong and have continued to get it wrong till it’s too late.
