For me we need to sign someone like Flanagan or Johns. Best we’ll get on the market and they both do have potential if we can bring it out of them.
I'd say you are right, but of the two Flanagan has the more experience, at The Roosters he was good, if he can play that role for us I think he'd be the one, although initially I was hesitant about him. He went backwards at The Doggies, alarmingly, and you have to wonder if it was the class of the players around him that made him look so good. Cooper Johns isn't the player I'd choose, but it is an increasingly diminished pool, in which we could be looking, so we may have to take a punt. That is , if we have not already signed someone?
Does anyone think we may get Schneider? He has taken his time to settle, but I thought he looked good against what was an understandably very flat Leigh team , last time out.

I think it's important to sign a halfback to replace Clifford, not a utility player or a fullback.
Agree we need a specialist half, one that can control and lead a side around to replace Clifford not a makeshift or utility option. Clifford has shown what a difference it makes having a quality half that can guide and dictate play.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

To be fair, that Penrith team could replace Cogger with just about any emerging half, from the entire NRL talent pool and they'd go okay, playing with the likes of Cleary, Edwards, Luai et al.
Schneider will go to Penrith. Hutchinson not getting in Roosters 17 again this week even with players missing in the backs and utility role. Hawkins and Wakeham still not sorted anywhere either. Not seen much of Hawkins since his debut, Wakeham seems more like a 6 than a 7.
