I’d imagine that with the unfortunate injury to Trueman we’re likely now going to have to look at 2 halves now unless we look to move Hoy there as permanent or interim measure.
If the club as you say didnt see McNamara as part of the club going forward then even with the injury to Trueman would they go back on that? I’m not so sure.
I do wonder though if there is some element in the clubs thinking in terms of a possibility of Clifford returning at some point.
Thats my thinking about the club and Clifford but you cant run a professional Rugby League club on possibilities you have to be pro active and if something does arise then you deal with it at the time.
That said if Clifford did come back to S/L there would be a lot of competition for his signature and im not sure that Hull have the pulling power to attract top end players any more.
Said before we will not be able to replace Clifford and Swift like for like and losing Trueman is a blow but he is a steady player and much easier to replace than Clifford
