I agree when he came on loan he did well until his injury but i still think he is a far better full back than anything we have including Hoy. Gives us pace, the ability to line break and is also that pivot we need from full back which we dont get from either Litten or Shaul. The staff at the club will know Walker well and i just think he would be ideal if it looks like we will have to move Hoy into the halves plus we dont have to use a quota spot on an overseas full back
Agree, I also think a quota fullback is a nice to have when you have the rest of the team firing (same with Wingers) if your pack is on top and your halves and hooker doing the business as long as your full back isnt a knockonathon a team will do well.

I agree that he’d be a good option as he has the ability and professionalism. Guess it all depends on what the club have in mind and in the pipeline recruitment wise.

Wonder if Pele has actually signed, the HDM reported on both Ese and Okunbor and a day or two later it was announced, but nothing on Pele despite the HDM reporting the deal was done, maybe waiting on a visa?
Certainly need some halfback cover, ideally someone who could play fullback too.
Think Ashworth got injured yesterday, went off after 15 minutes and didn't come back on, managed 3 drives for 27 metres, so a decent average of 9.
Think Dwyer could be in trouble if Wire have pulled out, can't see another team that could come in for him based on this season form. I'll be very very disapointted if we keep him.

Hopefully Ashworth if injured isn’t too serious.
Agree with you on Dwyer, not sure how true it is about the Warrington deal falling through but if it is true I hope we don’t offer him an extension. I was initially pleased when we signed him, he started off playing ok, but he has proved to be too much of a headless chicken especially when we need a bit of composure.
Re the halves I imagine that McNamara will be the one to step in to cover for Trueman and we will either have a replacement quota half for Clifford or utilise Hoy there. If it’s the latter then signing Walker would be an option I imagine. Be interesting to see how it unfolds.

Heard we aren't keeping Mcnamara, although that could change with the Trueman injury.
I still wouldn't as mentioned before I've seen nothing from him to suggest he is a SL halfback, he has played 33 games now and haven't seen even a glimpse of the skills needed. Doesn't make a break, slow, no passing or kicking game to speak off. I honestly can't remember a break, pass or kick he has done this season that made a try.

Doubt he will come to SL, but read yesterday that Jamal Fogarty isn't staying at Canberra, they have offered him a 1 year deal and he wants longer, think he would be sensation in SL, would offer certainly offer him a 3 year deal on what we were offering Clifford.

Unfortunately have to agree about him seemingly being injury prone as he’s been out for quite some time the past couple of seasons. Don’t tend to notice quite how much when he isn’t a regular in the 17 but images been unavailable for a large % of games.
I’d imagine that with the unfortunate injury to Trueman we’re likely now going to have to look at 2 halves now unless we look to move Hoy there as permanent or interim measure.
If the club as you say didnt see McNamara as part of the club going forward then even with the injury to Trueman would they go back on that? I’m not so sure.
I do wonder though if there is some element in the clubs thinking in terms of a possibility of Clifford returning at some point.
