Think today showed there are quite a few players in the squad that just aren't top6 material no matter how hard they try.

If Lane was an overseas or even out of town player he'd be getting slated, been rubbish for 18months now. I've still no idea what Lovodua is good at. Fash and Brown are too small and Dwyer has one trick.

The only positive was the effort was there and we didn't have one of our usual end of season heavy scores, but pressure will be on to start well next season.

Agree about Lane as he had been disappointing again this season and is almost a passenger. Thought Brown had a good game today to be fair and Fash didn’t take a backwards step. Neither are going to be front line forwards on their own but do think with a decent size pack they will both prove their worth to the team.

The injury to Trueman is a big concern with us already losing Clifford and so far no suitable replacement has been signed.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Think they need to make a decision on McNamara as for me he is destined to be a Championship player.
Litten needs taking out of the team now as i agree he is battered.
I know he is only 20 but his link play is non existent and he and the club need to work on this because he doesnt have the raw speed to compensate in other areas.
Looking likely now that Hoy will move to halfback.
If we do just wonder if we should look at Jack Walker at full back before HKR extend his contract

Unless Leigh are miraculously relegated BM will be in SL next year

we didn't sign Clifford until the end of October last year, so still bit of time to go before panic set in haha

So then we need a back up squad half on top of Clifford's replacement

I believe we’ve signed a championship halfback

Shame that Hull are out of the playoff race now but I think the season has been a promising step forward. Smith has started the process but it may take another couple of years to get to where they want to be. A strong forward pack is coming together with some promising signs from the academy.

The Trueman situation is a bit of a nightmare though considering that's the second 9-12 month injury he's picked up since he signed. With Clifford leaving as well it leaves Hull with a challenging problem to solve.

Had the fortune/misfortune of attending today as a R & W due to lad playing for skirlaugh and taking part in the pre game stuff, which was excellently organised by the way.

Thought that was one that got away for Hull, wire were pretty terrible but hull just didn’t have the game management to turn pressure into points. It was panic stations galore once you got down to wire end and no sustained period of controlled pressure. Probably doesn’t help having dwyer on for so long

Shame about trueman, hope he recovers well. He wasn’t in the game before that though. Clifford clearly a very good player, but he can’t try and solve every problem. I think the lack of a 3rd pivot out of fullback makes it too predictable

I’d be happy to be getting rid of Savelio, one flashy thing a game doesn’t make up for his lack of effort. thought the props did alright most of the game and made yards. Satae will be a big miss won’t he.

Not one of the best games I’ve seen this season and wire will be happy for the points but don’t see them troubling the top 3 come play off time either. Some work to do in recruitment for you guys and the Clifford replacement is big isn’t it

Ref wasn’t as awful as made out, but he made an absolute clanger in second half were it was offloaded to shaul and he pulled his hands away and ball hit his legs, then Kendall blows for a knock on. Terrible decision, rest was probably what you come to expect from Kendall, just pedantic

Before the game when I saw the teams I has Leeds at home last season vibes, thought they might beat us 30 plus points, they are a good side with some very good players and a massive pack, they bring on Kasiano and we have Brown or Gardiner.

Luckily we have some extra resolve this year. Important now we finish the season with some positivity, still got 3 winnable games.

Just depends on bodies, hopefully Sao, Houghton and Hoy back next week.

Seems like Wigan away was our GF last week
Wire had lost 7 in the spin and must have been there for the taking
Wigan are a tough team and we pushed them so close yet lose to a team , at the KC, who are very poor mentally

For me it’s a type of gallant defeat we’ve become used to

That was as much a MUST WIN as we’ve had and we failed miserably against a side that could have easily
rolled over if put under constant pressure

Oh well

Jam tomorrow

I have lost interest
