Rovers fans getting very giddy on the Hull Live comments...seemingly unaware that Tyrone May narrowly avoided jail the other year for filming himself in ahem action without the partners consent

Reckon we’ll sign a guy called Pele, another called Herme then a couple of English guys called Tindall and Ashworth and this dude called Okunbor but that’s just a feeling I have.

A bit underwhelming, never been impressed when I've seen him play and is new to a position we desperately need quality. On the plus side, he has some size and is playing regularly in the NRL (more than Pele who everyone seems to think is a great signing). SL is a much higher quality so the fact his stats and performances haven't been great, isn't a barometer on how good he not sure you can compare stats, imagine Griffins stats if he played in thr NRL.
Then theres the baggage, nothing illegal but morally it doesn't sit right with me.
Deserves a chance, just hope Smith has this right.

Wouldn't sign Powell, be expensive amd I don't think he is very good, offers less than Houghton IMO, keep Houghton for a year integrate Balmforth, look to possible bring in another hooker for 25.

That’s it for me, while what he did isn’t illegal it’s very dodgy & I’d be fuming if it was my daughter (if I had one), I like to think people can learn their lesson & grow as a person over 3 years. 23 to 26 is a lot of time to grow & mature as a man.
Think it's obvious most Bulldogs fans don't think he is good enough for the NRL (and they are probably right) but the fact they say his best position in bavkrowers, has the attributes to be a good player (size and speed), kills the NSW cup gives us some hope. The fact they have similar feelings on Thompson who was the best prop I'm SL maybe tells us what a state the dogs are and also the difference in standards on the two leagues.
Some decent comments on the Phil Gould tweet today, which confirms he is coming.

Another one that wasn't rumoured.
I've seen a lot of him, this year at the Bulldogs. Not greatly excited about this if I'm honest. He doesn't break the line much and despite his former time as a winger, doesn't run the lines that would exploit his pace. He is a hefty size, but don't recall him hitting hard or busting out of tackles. At least he is a backrower, but not as good, in my opinion , based on what I have seen , as Dre and Griffin. Let's hope that if he has penned a deal, we can see Tony Smith coach him into a better player.
