To play 7, not convinced?

No idea Dave. Would still imagine we are looking for a 7 although if we were to get Watson it would rule out an overseas second rower.

Think that would be a massive error, our weakest position this season and we look even weaker for next.

I'd feel pretty uneasy with us using a quota spot on Watson now we've signed Ese'ese and Pele.

I'd still like him in to play 9, but it could leave us short in the back row and more importantly at 7....

I think with Ese’ese announced and Pele more than likely signed then the remaining quota spots will be used for an out & out half and a SR. Don’t think we’d gamble on a quota hooker/utility unless we sign Williams of course

Get the feeling the 9 spot for next year will be Houghton or another non quota 9.

We definitely need a quota 7. There's nobody else good enough available who is federation qualified.

As Dave said SR is our weakest position so we need a quota player in that position. We probably need another SR (non quota) as Ashworth plays prop these days rather than SR.

Hooker? Houghton gets another season which he thoroughly deserves but he'll be 35. My worry is that Balmforth will be the interchange hooker unless we sign another one. He has got potential but is a novice. If TS planned to bring him in to the 17 next year he would have already had some game time. Definitely instead of Dwyer.

i wouldnt sign him,but i think moylan will leave cronulla .drew hutchinson could also move on with walker coming back.

Priority has to be a big mobile overseas second row and a UK based second row
My opinion is that Grix has already advised the club on two players.
One will be a second row and the other a nine who can play half back

Watched Hutchinson closely today, too slow for a 7 and not creative enough,looks like a 13.
