II think he's fallen out of love for the game, to be honest and a UK move, where he is the centre of the team, could rejuvenate him, because,, if Milford is on it, he is better than any half back in SL. He would be a sensation if he could find his spark again. I don't think he'd come though and I could see Wests or even Canberra taking him , should he be available. Wonder if we are going for a youthful up and comer or a Moylan type? Moylan was okay, last year and the first part of the current season, but he is not the organiser type foil player that suits Hynes, hence his dropping. At 32 , with a chequered injury record, I'd stay clear. If Fitzty would let us have Braydon Trindell, that would do for me. He's a good player and has a great kicking game. The half back signing is the most intriguing for me; Smith knows what he's doing, so get that right and we'd be back among the top six again, with that pack, and the signings to come.

And if we have the pulling power to sign first team players from NRL teams why would we sign Nikorima when there are better players out there?
You have to realise that this topic is straight out of Fantasy Island. You might as well throw a pack of Tarot cards onto a table and make up players names up that FC should sign

I miss the sensible realism of "Shopping list for 2023".

A few points....
1. Nikorima has played 18 times this year, Ese'Ese has played 17 times, so we have shown we have 'pulling power' to attract 1st team players.
2. We have seen that players don't need to take pay cuts, a lot of overseas players do get part-paid by the NRL club.
There may be better players than Kodi out there, but the Dolphins are after a big name half back, they already have O'Sullivan, Katoa so if he feels his 1st team chances will be limited, he may seek a move elsewhere.
I'm not saying it will happen, just that he is the kind of player I hope we have asked about

Not really, though. The initial topic was who we would like to sign, so everybody has different ideas and , yes , some are unrealistic, but it is who we'd like to sign and with plausible reasons why.

Although it's gone quiet on Connor Watson, could still be a possibilty. Bulldogs pulled out of any deal so it's between us,Leeds or him re-signing at the Roosters on a reduced contract.
