I see that the potential new owners of Skolars are the supposed backers of the New York RL start up that vanished as soon as they sold enough bobble hats.
Steve Scanlan at ARC https://arcsportsmanagement.com.au/our-team/ apparently played for England, but I can find no record of this. They do seem to have a few boxers on their books....well, 4 to be exact, all based in Straya, but as is often the case, seem adept at self promotion.

Looks like the anticipated takeover at Skolars has fallen through, according to an article on Rugby League Hub.
Apparently the realisation Skolars would likely be at the bottom of the IMG rankings prompted a renegotiation on the amount the new owners were willing to pay.
Always felt a bit of left field option in terms of a takeover and not really sure how much real investment the new owners were capable of brining in. Interesting to see if anyone else steps in to takeover.

Not a good end to a very poor season. Looks a bit grim.

Did they sell any hats before vanishing?
Yet again, people with little idea of rhe sporting landscape of Britain and especially London talkative good game but soon realise the enormity of what is required.

In some ways a shame, as I think ultimately it would have been good to have a second London team on a strong competitive footing.
Lot of questions as to where this leaves Skolars now I guess. Been a really poor season, after what was looking like a promising uptick in competitiveness last year. Feels like they have been well and truly overtaken by Cornwall and Midlands in terms of progression.

In his dreams. He was involved in a London community club in the 90s, selling himself as an Aussie Schoolboy player. You should have seen him on the pitch

He was and probably still is the king of self promotion. I won't go into my dealings with him, but I wouldn't trust him to run a bath.
Skolars heading to the trap-door......... A real shame, but after the Broncos "ravaged them" 2021/22 it's easy to find a common dominator as to why London Broncos are playing in front of 300 fans.
No real surprise I suppose, but a real shame nonetheless. Club intends to play in the Southern Conference League next season.
Rise like Lions after slumber In unvanquishable number-- Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you-- Ye are many -- they are few.'
Real shame they have had to do this. Let's see how they get on in SCL, weekly that can be a bit hit and miss with squads team can field. Wonder if they will still get to play on main pitch, or get pushed over the road onto the grass
