Nice thought but realistically is just a dream, Saints are just one of a lot of hard games to come but you never know , we do beat Saints occasionally and you wouldn't think they would be much harder than Catalan, Onward and upwards

Considering only 12 men for nearly an hour a performance to be proud of

You were the better team from the sending off onwards I thought. If anything from that point it looked like we were the team a man light. Your props worked very hard, especially Hill who had another impressive game. Halsall was dangerous and whoever the little number 23 (?) was too, he looked very lively. You came very close to winning that game. A dropped chance at 20-18 and we went up the pitch and scored. If you'd scored I think you'd have won. Discipline was the only real negative, conceding three penalties for mouthing off isn't great, with the decision for one of them going your way and them still abusing the ref and getting penalised.

With the players you've got you should be a lot higher in the table. Which brings the coach into scrutiny. His interviews after the game weren't great, mocking Paul Wellens speaking out against the RFL and asking for half our team to be banned but making no mention of English's challenge or the high tackle on Ritson. Smacks of a coach in full on deflection mode and trying to get people talking about Saints' discipline rather than his own side's.

Very interesting conclusion from disciplinary committee. Ban for Saints player and not Greenwood! Probably says it all. Thaler got it badly wrong.

Not sure he did. At the ground live, there didn't seem to be anything in the tackle. Just two big lads colliding. No one saw anything other than Greenwood lashing out. If it was televised, you'd possibly have seen both being yellow carded, which would have been a fairer outcome. There is secondary contact with Greenwood's head, but it's not a bad tackle, initial contact is chest on chest and the arms wrap around. Greenwood's head comes forward and there is secondary contact. A yellow is the right call there. A 2 game ban is utterly daft, given they let the blatant high shot on Ritson, which was far worse and far more deliberate away with nothing. If on TV that would have been a card and English would have likely been sent off too, the lack of a ban for that, despite being charged, was weird. I think Watson has played a blinder in his interview and getting the clips of the Greenwood incident out and complaining about Knowles, which he knows is like a moth to a flame. He knew Knowles did nothing, but the mere mention of his name got social media and the RL media frothing about Saints again, with this weird obsession everyone has with Knowles. Not one clip of the English cannonball or the high shot on Ritson anywhere to be seen.

He does like using any excuse going, let's not forget we were 14-0 down before the sending off! It is just the latest in a string of excuses he has used for the fact he got recruitment badly wrong this year and are nowhere near a side 'competing with the likes of saints regularly'. Apart from two wins over Catalan every side with top 6 aspirations this year has handed us our arze, although many on this board are getting carried away with the fact that we have spanked Wakefield, Castleford and Hull. We are around where we deserve to be for the squad we have, which has serious deficiencies.

Now blaming having to play Saints with 12 men for 55 mins cost them a lot energy against Salford. That was nearly 6 days a go, Watson needs to put more effort into coaching and less effort in moaning about everything.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.
