Time to draw a line through McLean? It was a nice few days
I would have liked him, but think we have need more in other areas, if he had signed that would have been 3 quota props. I'd rather use a quota spot for a hooker or backrower, as currently we have no experience hookers signed and Lane as our only bavkrower. Whilst at prop we have Fash, Sao, Brown, add in Ashworth, Taylor, Pele and the likes of Staverly and Laidlaw, we aren't too bad
Taylor, Fash, Sao and Pele are a decent set of props.
Bit of a shame about McLean, he would have added some leadership to the team but as said above it wouldn't be very well balanced using 3 quota spots on props. Hopefully we'll add an oversees backrow or 2 and gives the option of recruiting an oversees 7 and/or 9.
Not really heard much about Laidlaw this year except he was struggling for fitness early on. Is he still at Keighley?
Saw yesterday we were in for Keven Appo from Bradford. I guess if Alick doesn't come off then he is an option. Bulls fans seem annoyed about losing him.

Probably a better chance of signing a player from the Titans now they signed Fifita and Tino on big long contracts. Will defence have to release some players to be within the cap.
Drew Hutchison having a stormer for the Roosters today . Sam Walker is due back for next year and I’d imagine he’ll rip it up preseason to get his place back. Maybe worth a question to them?

Drew Hutchison was mentioned by Aussie based Hull supporter Pommie Rich on Twitter a couple of weeks back. Would fit the bill and has experience of the UK game at Leigh.

Watched the game myself and although not seen a lot of him but I was impressed with his game. Seems to be the business. Organised well, takes the ball to the line good defense. Big lad as well for a 7.Scored a good try. Think it would be a long shot but you never know,

Hull will give us a tough game but the key is to silence their fans in the Threepenny Stand. We have to do this because if we do'nt they will get behind their side and lift them in a way you've never seen, heard or witnessed before.
