Likes of dave and comeonyouhull who don't know good rugby league players ....keiron cunningham was unstoppable on his day

No pressure on the lad. Or on you with that prediction for that matter.

Yeah but don't forget Houghton hasn't played for England so he can't be any good  that's another mentioned 10 times a week.

dont know how many mintues he is doing off the bench but its said fitness is one of his issues.
Also cant see how been in a team getting well beaten most weeks will help him.
If we get beaten at Wigan then i would recall him and play the rest of the season at Hull as starting nine with Houghton on the bench

Tony Smith mentioned today about things having to fall into place before some decisions are taken. Looks like the situation is fluid.
Wonder if we’ll look at Sao for the second row?

too slow
He was ok playing for Samoa but hat was mainly due to the class around him

You’ve done to death, the Danny Houghton thing, repeating the same thing over and over. He’s been outstanding this season, being spelled instead of flogged to death by the last 2 coaches.

Even when spelled he does the same tackle tackle ....no attack

Utter nonsense the been "flogged bit" just an excuse for his lack of attack

Who has said Fash will carry the pack like Walmsley? Think most have said Fash isn’t big enough as a main forward and probably wouldn’t have been used like that had Evans performed & Taylor not had injuries prior to this season. Though there’s little denying Fash has stepped up and stood in at the front row and done a good job, especially given we are also lightweight at 2nd row.
Think a front row with say Taylor, Sao, Pele & McLean backed up with Fash, Brown, Gardiner would be pretty decent and an improvement.
Hopefully we’ll see some size and quality added in terms of 2nd row recruitment. You say about taking Taylor & Satae out but take Walmsley and Pasi out of St’s front row and they don’t have the same size and go forward and no team is any different.

You’re not saying anything nobody knows in that the front row options have been and are very weak this season. Both Cator and Fash are worth deals as whilst they aren’t world beaters, they are in the main reliable and offer value to the squad. Many in the game rate Smithies and he’s no different to Fash in that regard.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
