As others have said, not many clubs keep players who don't want to be there, but the timing feels odd, given that he'll likely be in their Wembley team, on Saturday.

He hasn’t been getting limited time from the bench at all he’s started more then parcell this year and he played 61 games in a row with next year being MP last year I can’t see us letting Litten go for a long long time

Contract lengths aren’t always important if the player doesn’t want to be there.
Tony Smith mentioned today about things having to fall into place before some decisions are taken. Looks like the situation is fluid.
Wonder if we’ll look at Sao for the second row?

Yep contracts have been irrelevant for years interms of keeping a player

If a player wants out usually they do get their way

Dave K. wrote:Littens a good player, an upgrade on Dywer, off the bench with Houghton next year then with Balmforth the year after.

Litten more chance than Lewis, because of family connections and a bit like Connor a pont to prove at Hull.

Still can't see Rovers selling him though.

Step up on houghton aswell

The day houghton leaves/retires and we get a attacking hooker who defends aswell

People will realise how limited houghton is

Your attack starts at dummy half people forget that fact

Hasbag wrote:If that was the plan with Houghton and Balmforth then in myopinion we'd need to be playing Balmforth now. Would be a little bit if a risk going into next season with him before we even know if he's good enough to cut it week in week out in Super League.

Balmforth will be fine has a look of keiron cunningham about him

Likes of dave and comeonyouhull who don't know good rugby league players ....keiron cunningham was unstoppable on his day

You won't admit it, but Houghton has been great this year, outplayed alot of hookers.

Miles better than Dwyer, who repeatedly you told is how good he was and better than Houghton, in reality its not even close.

Especially with alot of key players leaving and only Pele signed

You can tell it’s the summer holidays, 2 weeks in and your bored. It’s lovely weather out there, go call on some mates and play out, instead of sitting on your Nintendo. You’ve done to death, the Danny Houghton thing, repeating the same thing over and over. He’s been outstanding this season, being spelled instead of flogged to death by the last 2 coaches.

Dont forget that we won't win anything playing Cator, Lane and Fash. Mention that about 10 times a week.
