I wonder if the form of Houghton has changed things a but, him and Balmforth sharing the role next season.
If that was the plan with Houghton and Balmforth then in myopinion we'd need to be playing Balmforth now. Would be a little bit if a risk going into next season with him before we even know if he's good enough to cut it week in week out in Super League.
McLean obviously isn’t the ideal age but you can’t question his experience and pedigree. Would be big for us. Signing pele and McLean would give us a very solids front row.
The questions are if we sign McLean, Pele and blonde do we find a domestic hooker or run Houghton & balmforth
I’d be fairly happy McLean, Pele, Blore Ashworth, Tindall, Bentley & a quota 7
If we could bring in any of Mcmeeken, Davies or Ackers in we’d be in a much better position but I’m unsure on how realistic any of that is

Just wondering if we'll use Ashworth in the SR like others have said.
Certainly going to be an interesting few months seeing how things play out

If we can possibly keep away from our spine being none uk then we have to try - swapping and changing your halfs around every couple of years is never gonna win you anything. Sneyd could of worked in this team imo, shame we let him go in place of Reynolds
My mate who finds out quite a bit in both camps told me we’d sign Pele and litten back in may , did post at the time i thought we needed a different type of hooker to litten . Time will tell I guess , but if rumours are correct we must have a non quota in the half’s or hooker it seems .

Litten more chance than Lewis, because of family connections and a bit like Connor a pont to prove at Hull.
Still can't see Rovers selling him though.
Me neither, but, I also thought they'd have kept Halton- so if a player asks for a move, then maybe Peters is happy to allow it, especially as he has only been getting time on the field from the bench in most games? As others have said, not many clubs keep players who don't want to be there, but the timing feels odd, given that he'll likely be in their Wembley team, on Saturday.
