Unfortunately we would be the ones getting laughed at now if we tried to get McNamara.
What would our pitch to him be - "give up your lifestyle in the south of France with a quality team and come to live in Warrington to sort out the mess we've made ourselves".

Some nice houses along the River Mersey…….isn’t there.

Yes exactly that.
Do you fancy a new project? I would personally offer him the same deal that they were willing to pay Justin Holbrook. Incentive based.
By the way if it ever stops raining, Lymm isn’t that bad a place to live.
I think McNamara could do a decent job here, he’s built Catalan up from a basket case to fulfil their potential. No way on earth he’d leave now but then no way on earth I would have said McNamara would have been a good option when he went to France. So goes to show sometimes an unlikely candidate can do the job.
We need a similar transformation.
I think Chambers has a place in this, I wonder whether eventually he could grow in to a Director of Rugby role. I’d rather him than Kear or Noble tbh, those suggestions frighten the hell out of me!

Not necessarily, money talks. If we offer what we offered Holbrook (just shy of 900k) I’m sure, like most people, he’d find that very difficult to turn down whether he resided in the South of France or not.

Can't write him off before he has been given a chance, it depends on his ideas and how well he adapts to different personalities. I'd prefer someone who has been an assistant for longer though who is closer to being given his first head role.
Rowley is a solid no fom me, that said if he could bring Lafai with him it would make it easier to swallow.
Good post. At least Burgess would command some sort of respect from the players you’d like to think for what he’s achieved in the game - would Rowley?

There are some jobs where the phrase "I wouldn't do that if they paid me a million quid" come to mind, as we found out from Holbrook.

Holbrook was booked on a flight. He backed out last minute because his wife didn’t want to move to the other side of the world. He had already accepted the offer.
