Forget Lachlan Fitzgibbon, what about Bradman Best? Still young and a potential solution to our centre problems. I'm sure he'd look great in Super League. Not sure what sort of deal he's on at the Knights though. Seems to have all the passion and determination that we're missing.

Did the board
a) give Powell one last signing, on the hope of a MASSIVE change of form
b) sign him off their own back (wouldn't be the first time) and hope any incoming coach actually likes Fitzgibbon
or
c) tap up Holbrook a month ago, and ask him for his wish list.
It's a high risk way of doing things
Powell had full control of recruitment, so whoever does take over will basically be coaching his squad next year.
So, if we were to be successful next year, then Daryl could legitimately claim to be a very good director of RL and could come back and take that role and leave Karl to look after the club's Facebook account?

Tom liked it here but his wife didn’t - fair enough, McGuire has gone for other reasons, Dufty apparently not keen but he’s still here, Roberts we were all glad got homesick. Vaughan is embracing the lifestyle by all accounts. Just not sure the problem is as big as we’re making out….though I’ve probably made a glaring omission.
Tyrone Roberts went home early, I wonder if he ever cashed in the generous offers a few posters on here had made to drive him to the airport and pay for his flight back

Holbrook will have the same challenge as Tony Smith after PC/JL left - turning a team that looked good on paper but was completely shot confidence-wise.

You seriously think we look good on paper?
Personally, I think we have Williams and Vaughan who stand out, the rest are mainly average Joe's or younger players who might be good if things go ok in their development.
We don't stand out from any other side in the competition to be fair, apart from the bottom 2.
