Agreed, but maybe it is better with a lower profile type, than those on the fringes, Clifford going home shows that and the lesser known players would probably have missed their chance in the NRL or have to rip it up for more than one season to attract NRL interest. The difference between the game's
standing over there to the one it has in the UK though means that even modestly talented players attract what appears to be high salaries in comparison to their UK counterparts and the gulf is widening year on year. Mitch Moses earns over $1 million dollars a year with the Eels, which equates to over half a million in sterling with no UK club being truly able to afford to tempt anything other than wayward stars, nearly men or past their best journeymen to our game. Moses M'bye joining Saints is a puzzler though. He hasn't done anything for a few years now and I wonder if we are starting to see the break up of their dominance with Roby, LMS and a few others leaving .
