No chance of Watson, still amazed that Bentley has NRL interest, I'd have him at Hull, but his SL form at Leeds has been average at best.

That Bentley article is basically what the Mole said last week. Think Matt Shaw has said an NRL move isn't happening

At least it shows the calibre of player we’re looking at.

In regards to Bentley it would seem more likely and plausible that his agent is trying to either drum up interest over in NRL by offering him to clubs over there or most likely trying to raise Bentleys stock here in SL. I'm not sure it will make much difference to us a club if we are interested in him as we now seem to place a value and worth on a player and do not veer from that much.
As for Bentley he's a decent player but certainly no game breaking SR and his attitude is very much questionable which is a probable reason why he left St's and now likely Leeds. Signing Bentley would seem to go against everything TS has been saying about recruitment since he arrived in terms of the type of players he wants at the club with attitude a key attribute, and whilst Bentley seems to have quite a bit of it, it seems to be of the wrong type, unless TS think he can sort that out in Bentley, who knows??

Seen it mentioned a few times on here now hinting that St’s let him go because of his attitude/ discipline. Completely untrue, they tried keeping him, he just wanted to sign for Leeds. Here’s Saints statement announcing he was leaving. -
James Bentley has sadly rejected a new Saints contract and decided to join his home town club Leeds Rhinos on a two year contract from 2022.

The Club had presented James with a number of contract offers, but sadly he has opted to return to Yorkshire and take up a new challenge with the Rhinos from next season.

We are disappointed to see him move on at the end of the season, but we wish him well in his future.
