The excuse book is well thumbed, but ultimately this has to stop and it has to stop now. We’re nearer to 10th than top, despite being 4 points clear at one stage.
The coach can bang on about entitlement and attitude as much as he wants, but unless Daryl Clark and Danny Walker are the problem causers, he has signed or re-signed every single one of them. 18 signings I think he had made over 18 months, that’s new blood, not including extensions. If there’s a problem in the camp now, then it’s grown on his watch.
The absolute state of the club is an embarrassment. It’s got absolutely nothing to do with Coopers T-shirts or King catching the bus on route to away games, that’s just deflection.
Missing only Harrison, we serve up that. Again, absolutely not a Price apologist, but his team didn’t concede 40 points in a game during his 4 year tenure. And we go and get stuffed again.
It’s not good enough. Strong leadership is necessary now.
The transcript of the press conference reads like a man begging to be axed, knowing he is out of his depth and there is nothing he can do to turn it round.
All it needs is Alex Murphy to start swearing at fans and we'd be back in the Dorahy era.

To add to this, we’ve averaged 16 points scored a match since April, so I’m not having that the attack is a glossy show in contrast to Price’s team. It’s as bad, just seems less of a dire match to watch as we get to see lots of tries these days, sadly most are against us.

If we list Powell’s crimes it really is a woeful tale. Binning Charnley off without telling him why, allowing Ratchford to sweet talk him out of being dropped, finishing second bottom, blaming the fans for results, constant excuses, buying Gil Dudson, wanting us to extend Matautias contract, making Ratchford Captain, letting our best prop go to our rivals, castigating young Dean, mishandling a quality product in Thewlis, purchasing Brad Dwyer, signing Oliver Holmes. There are many more I’ve missed and even Jason ‘RLs nicest man’ Clark was perturbed by Powell hiding in his office for the whole of last season.
