I think the packs main issue is consistency, they’ve shown they can get on top of the best packs in the league, they just don’t show it enough, which is concerning

The amount of times we’re goofing the ball around the field side to side with the receiving player standing still.. we are too static and fail to get momentum established.
The problem with the slow ruck is we don't have the skill set to regularly break teams down when the ruck isn't completely broken down. Perhaps if we had this would not be the problem it is.

We must agree to differ on O'Connor I think he has reached his level - perhaps why Leeds are being linked with Levi.
Smith might be a tackling machine but that is only half the game the other half he consistently stifles the moves because he is too slow mentally to spot the opportunities
Gannon has improved loads tho, back end of last year and glimpses when he’s played this year, wasn’t he in the England squad even tho he was injured?
Smith quite often he is good in attack tho. He’s been given loads of praise this year, team of the weeks, people saying he should be in the England squad etc, he wasn’t good last night but there’s a decent player there

Smith is a very strong defender and that is where he gets the praise - he stifles a lot of the attack as he did last night - that is not rare.
Gannon you cannot say he has improved - he simply hasn't played for months. He may well be a better player but there is not tangible evidence to judge him.
What is happening with the likes of Sinfield and Simpson - does the coach not trust them - it is not as if he team is winning each week.

I wouldn’t trust Simpson either seeing as he’s recovering from a season long ACL injury.
Sinfield is 18 he’ll get his chance hence him signing a long term deal.

A man who transformed the club single handedly - always had time for the fans who attend fan forums and would explain the performances and his decisions.
No way the players would get away with performances that we see week in week out - they simply wouldn't get selected. Look at Barrie Mac - relegated to Bramley. His standards were a world away from what we see these days.
The finest coach the club had in the SL era and superb human being - sadly missed
