He's clearly injured Walmsley minutes earlier and does the same thing again? One in isolation and there wouldn't be so much focus on this. I keep asking, what do you expect Wellens to do? I guarantee every coach in Super League makes a statement there. Two serious injuries, one of which Jon Wilkin has said today is career ending on Sky. And you think Wellens is unprofessional for questioning if the RFL have got this right? Everyone saw the tackles, what harm is there in questioining the RFL's response to the technique?
He's done a video press interview causing all this hysteria, hence Asiata receiving death threats as well. ATEOTD - The tackle was not illegal, and yes i honestly believe he had no intention to cause injury. BTW - Mr Wilkin is a biased $hithou$e, and the sooner he's removed from tv duties the better.

The link between him complaining about the RFL's handling of two very serious incidents and Asiata receiving death threats are just wrong. If he has received threats that reflects only on the mentality and character of those that have sent them. There was very little about Asiata in the interviews, most of it was aimed at the RFL and their handling of it.
He's perfectly entitled to talk about issues in the game. Especially ones that have been handled so poorly by the RFL. Is Rohan Smith a disgrace as well? Does he need a fine?
I'll leave it there as you're clearly not even looking at any aspect of this with anything other than blind backing of your side. To not be able to see there is an issue with the technique is bizarre, but I'm not going to convince you otherwise.

You mean he didn’t criticise a tackling technique that injured 4 players in the same game before the tackling technique injured 4 players in the same game? Geez you’re right, that is strange
The only reason they look up to you is because they chose to kneel.
He hasn't "Speared his bodyweight through someones knee"
He's tackled somebody hard around the legs in a last ditch, try-saving effort.
It was brave, determined defence.
I've every sympathy for any injuries but it wasn't illegal, it wasn't pre meditated and this over reaction is coming across as increasingly ridiculous.

The fact he did it 4 times suggests it was pre meditated, though. It’s not like he’s made a miscalculation in a desperate attempt to tackle a player. He consistently employed this technique in the tackle as obviously a tactic to nullify the effects of our bigger men. I don’t know how it’s been found to be legal, as far as I’m aware attacking the knee joint has always been illegal but the MRP are probably the worst at their jobs out of anybody in the world.
His technique is outlawed both in the NFL and NRL. Why it wouldn’t be here is just bizarre, but not particularly surprising

Heard a few times now that this has been done 4 times. I haven't seen any footage of incidents 3 or 4. I've seen the Paasi incident and the Walmsley one and I'm confident the MRP made the right call on both.
Nobody has shown these 3rd and 4th incidents yet that I've seen. Have you seen them? Can you supply anything to back up your claims on them?
Genuine question. I am happily defending Asiata on the 2 tackles I've seen. I can't defend 4 incidents when I've not seen 2 of them.

It's all just part of the RFL conspiracy to stop the mighty Saints. Banning them didn't work so now it's injuring them.
I expected this reaction from saddo, judder and the site troll but the reaction from the rest of the family has been quite comical and cheered me right up after Wigan got beat.
I said on here in the week that they've built this narrative that they're hard done to all the time but this goes to another extreme.
